Disc Power Rectifier Diodes 200A – 8000A

Power rectifier diodes, known as LJ-MD diodes and also referred to as silicon double-sided cooling rectifier diodes, feature a disc-shaped design and serve as versatile components for converting both DC and AC currents. Capable of handling currents up to 8000A and frequencies up to 500 Hz, these diodes accommodate circuits with voltages reaching 10000V, dependent on the specific series. The disc-type rectifier diodes are available in various current ratings, including 200A, 250A, 320A, 400A, 500A, 630A, 800A, 1000A, 1250A, 1600A, 2000A, 2500A, 3200A, 4000A, 5000A, and 6300A.

A series of high-power disc rectifier diodes is offered, complete with a part numbering guide and technical passport to facilitate selection and integration into systems. Installation recommendations are provided to ensure optimal performance. Video reviews offer insights into the application and performance of these high-power diodes.

Featuring an industry-standard ceramic housing, these diodes are designed for seamless integration into existing equipment. Polarity indication is provided by a symbol on the diode case, accompanied by schematic diagrams illustrating the anode and cathode connections.

Technical specifications, part numbering guide, polarity indications, dimensions, and recommended coolers are detailed for easy reference. Air and water heat sinks are utilized to dissipate heat efficiently, minimizing electrical losses and maximizing heat dissipation.

During assembly, achieving the necessary clamping force, denoted as pressing force Fm, is crucial for minimizing electrical losses. The correspondence between achieved and required clamping force is determined by the deflection of the traverse. Heat-conducting paste may be applied during assembly to enhance heat dissipation, though not mandatory.

The diodes are housed in a sealed casing, providing insulation from mechanical impacts and environmental factors. Equipped with pressure contacts within their disc housing, these diodes boast low static and dynamic losses, high VRRM values, extensive industry experience, and a wide voltage and amperage range from 100V to 10000V and 630A to 6300A, respectively. They exhibit high resistance to thermal and electrical cycling and support natural or forced air cooling for efficient operation.
